Overview

Publisher ID Tracking allows the Advertiser to track a specific conversion point of their campaigns, such as registration. Adfonic can inform the advertiser of which publication (unique id) the click-through originated from. If the advertiser associates the publication ID to their conversion point, they can identify which publications are making the most/least conversions. Adfonic can then optimise the campaign based on feedback from the advertiser to maximise the conversion.

Publisher id tracking takes 4 easy steps

Step 1: The advertiser appends a parameter (“pid”) to their click-through URL(s)

Step 2: The advertiser captures the parameter (“pid”) and associate it with their conversion point (for example, registration).

Step 3: The advertiser sends Adfonic a report of which ids are showing low/high conversions.

Step 4: Adfonic then optimise the campaign based on feedback/report from the advertiser.

Example

This is an example of a click through URL as it would be entered into the Adfonic interface.

http://yourClickThroughURL.com?pid=%publication%

When the end user clicks on the ad the user will be redirect to the the following URL with the “pid” value, this is a unique identifier of the source publication of the click.

http://yourClickThroughURL.com?pid=1234
